I was on a family trip, lying next to my son, everyone was asleep.
But my mind kept racing with work deadlines. Unread emails. And a mounting pressure to perform.
That’s when I realized I was physically present but mentally, I was gone. That taught me that presence isn’t something that just happens. It’s something we choose to work on. Ideally before it’s too late.
That’s what led me to start The Engaged Father Project. I now get to help driven and high-performing fathers to reconnect with their kids before those critical windows of time close.
We use a simple S.T.E.P. framework to help you gain clarity, rewrite the script, and align your actions with relational depth. In simple terms: to shift from autopilot to meaningful connection.
Your kids don’t need you to be perfect. They need you, to be fully there even just for those silly little moments—like tossing your bags out of a hotel window—that become the lasting memories they will never forget.
